The Photo Returner attempts to sum up the extracurricular pursuits of Erin Bohannon, a Greenfield, MA resident who spends her spare time attempting to reunite lost family photos with their descendants. This work has required her to become, among other things, anarchist, researcher and genealogist. It gives her purpose, but she also refuses to throw out a photo until it finds a home, leading to conflicts in her personal relationships.

The film was shot from in late 2024 and will end up being feature in Index Drift 2, my ongoing anthology series.

This films was produced independently by myself. I’m currently in the process of submitting it to festivals and hope to have a premiere set up soon.
